Welcome!

Good wind and sun provided perfect sailing conditions on the afternoon of Saturday August 20th for 13 Laser competitors to enjoy 6 races that were held as part of the 11th Annual Come Boating! Regatta. The afternoon of racing was part of a series of races held each summer for the Maine Laser Championships. Come Boating!'s Mission
Come Boating!'s mission is to create educational boating-related programs that preserve and broaden the maritime heritage shared by the Belfast area community and strengthen our connection to the sea.
Come Boating!, Belfast's community boating organization is committed to bringing people together to enjoy and celebrate boats and boating. Whether it's adults and children learning to sail, or anyone 12 and older rowing in the gigs, we aim to have fun while experiencing the beauty of Belfast Bay and the Passagassawakeag River, watching for seals, osprey and eagles. Come Boating! has rowing and sailing regattas, full moon rows and potlucks that anyone can participate in, as well as opportunities to work on boats doing the yearly maintenance.
All Are Welcome
Welcome to Come Boating! We are a volunteer-run organization that is dedicated to providing access to the water through our rowing and sailing programs. No experience is required! No matter your skill level, age* or experience, join us for fun, exercise and learning. During the summer season, we offer daily rows on our 32' Cornish gigs. Whether you're a novice rower or one with more experience, there is a row for you. In addition to rowing, we have a sailing program in our Drascombe and our nutshell prams. (More on this after Feb. 6th meeting)
We are committed to bring people together to enjoy and celebrate boats and boating. Take a look around our website and see for yourself. We look forward to seeing you on the water!
*sailing lessons for children ages 7-13, adult sailing lessons age 18+, rowing for persons 12 and older
