WELCOME!
Come Boating!, Belfast’s community boating organization is committed to bringing people together to enjoy and celebrate boats and boating. Whether it’s adults and children learning to sail, or anyone 12 and older rowing in the gigs, we aim to have fun while experiencing the beauty of Belfast Bay and the Passagassawakeag River, watching for seals, osprey and eagles. Come Boating! has rowing and sailing regattas, full moon rows and potlucks that anyone can participate in, as well as opportunities to work on boats doing the yearly maintenance.
Full Moon Rows
- Sunday June 7 ~ Sunset 8:18
- Tuesday July 7 ~ Sunset 8:22
- Wednesday Aug 5 ~ Sunset 7:56
Meeting time to be determined
Due to insurance regulations we are no longer able to be out on the water after dark. We will still row on the full moon, going out a little earlier and returning to the beach at dusk to watch the moon rise. Bring snacks to share if you like.
Please sign up ahead of time in person
at our boat shed.
(The book is in the black mailbox).
If you are unable to sign up, you are welcome to show up
and row if there is room on the boat.
COME BOATING! Belfast’s very own community boating organization wants you to experience Belfast from the water.
NO EXPERIENCE at all is required. Our boating opportunities are open to all. No matter your skill level, age* or experience; join us for fun, exercise and learning. We are serious about having fun on the water! Come Boating will help you enjoy Belfast harbor. Enjoy learning to row Belle Fast or Selkie, our 32’Cornish pilot gigs.
